Ponytail falls are about 250 feet above Horsetail falls, and about 1/3 mile hike. The waterfall is about 75 feet high and ends in a pool. You can walk underneath the falls which is really kind of neat. If you don't mind a cold, refreshing temperature, take a dip in the pool.
The waterfall is located in the Multnomah Falls area of the Columbia Gorge. Look for Horsetail Falls, then the path to Ponytail is to the right of Horsetail.
