Skate Creek Road (Forest Road 52) runs between Hwy 12 in Packwood to WA 706E near Ashford, Wa.
To get there from Tacoma, travel Hwy 7 to Elbe. As you leave Elbe continue straight onto WA 706 toward Mt Rainier National Park. Skate Creek Rd is between Ashford and the entrance to Mt Rainier Park.
