On May 17, 2003 a bunch of us GL1800 riders decided to take what we called our Mountain Ride and visited Mt. Rainier and Mt St. Helens here in Washington state. The name was later was called the 2.5 Mile ride. The reason for the name "2.5 Mile" was when while in route to Mt. Rainier someone was asking over the CB "how much further" and the standard answer was just 2 1/2 miles.
As you can see, we found ourselves in a little snow, which made the ride more note worthy.
Before this we were all riders who only knew each other through a
GL1800 message board sponsored by
Honda Direct. Now we were able to put faces behind those message board names.
